Investor Awareness Programme at Indraprastha Gas Limited

A curated session for senior leadership on retirement planning, capital preservation, and global portfolio strategy

On 4 June 2026, the India Federation for Investors & Global Traders (IFIGT) conducted a curated Investor Awareness Programme for the senior management cohort at Indraprastha Gas Limited — one of India’s leading city gas distribution companies. Held at IGL Bhawan, New Delhi, the 90-minute engagement was designed exclusively for GM-and-above leadership and built around the strategic capital decisions that define financial outcomes at this stage of career and life.

The programme was anchored by Mr. Rajat Dhar, Director — Investments at IFIGT — an MDRT Court-of-the-Table qualifier with 18+ years of private banking experience and an alumnus of the Indian School of Business Leadership Development Programme. Mr. Dhar has personally led investor awareness sessions for over 10,000 senior professionals across the Indian Armed Forces officer cadre, large corporates, and HNI cohorts.

Six modules. One framework. Deliberately positioned away from generic financial literacy material, the session walked the audience through six interconnected modules:

    • Retirement Planning, Reimagined — corpus sufficiency, longevity risk, and building a post-retirement income engine, not just a corpus
    • Wealth Creation Strategies — equity as a long-duration compounder; the role of PMS, AIF, and direct equity in HNI portfolios
    • Capital Preservation — asset allocation discipline, sequence-of-returns risk, and shock-resistant portfolios
    • Tax-Efficient Investing (Advanced) — LTCG harvesting and portfolio structuring around the highest surcharge thresholds
    • Global Portfolio Optimization — LRS, GIFT City, and accessing growth themes unavailable in the Indian market
    • Reading the Macro — Fed cycles, INR trajectory, and geopolitics, translated into personal capital decisions

The 60-minute content delivery was followed by an animated 30-minute open Q&A, with participants engaging actively on portfolio structuring, retirement architecture, and global investing pathways. Each attendee received a digital take-home reference note summarising the frameworks and decision principles covered in the session.

The engagement at IGL forms part of IFIGT’s broader mandate as a Section 8 (Non-Profit) Enterprise — bringing deep, decision-grade investor education to senior professional cohorts across India’s marquee enterprises, public-sector undertakings, and institutional bodies.

The Federation extends its sincere thanks to the leadership and Human Resources & Learning team at Indraprastha Gas Limited for hosting the engagement, and to the participating senior management cohort for their thoughtful and warm reception.
